My g-g-g-g-grandparents, Joseph Cannon and Nancy Sitton were both born in North Carolina, in 1760 and 1765, respectively. They were married, probably in North Carolina, also, abt. 1808 (based on the birth of their first child, Philip Samuel Cannon, in 1809). I have reason to believe they may both have been born in Rowan County. Does anyone have any Cannon and/or Sitton data from the 1760s for Rowan County, North Carolina?
