Seeking information about the family of Alvin Sides, grandson of Jacob Dietrich Seitz/Sides. Alvin was born Nov. 20, 1894 in Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County, Penn., the son of Jacob Sides Jr., born Feb. 1857, and his wife Elizabeth, born Dec. 1859. The latest information I have on Alvin is his 1917 draft registration.
In 1910, Alvin was living in his mother's household with a younger sister, Amanda, 7. His father apparently died between 1903 and 1910. Alvin also has an older sister, Minerva born Nov. 1883, who was not in his mother's household in 1910.
In 1917, Alvin was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad as a laborer. He stated that he had three dependents: wife, one child and mother.
Would like to know wife's name, child's name and if there were any other children. We are especially interested in male-line descendants but welcome any and all information about this family.
