Daniel (?) Sistrunk and his wife Nancy A. ? moved to Pike Co, Miss. a/b 1820...they are on the 1820 census. From there they moved to Copiah Co, Miss. before 1830....they are on the Copiah Co. 1830 Census. They had 9 children: John A. Sistrunk (My gggdfather),who married Allie E. Sistrunk (who's father was John Sistrunk, Daniel's brother);Margaret Ann Sistrunk (5Jan1821); Eliza E. Sistrunk (ba1822 or 1823)md Issac Bell; Nancy Lunanda Sistrunk (ba 1826),md Brinkley Hinkman; Daniel G. Sistrunk (ba 1826, died 27Jul1851); Samuel M. Sistrunk (ba 1826, died Feb/Apr.1860), md Sarah Barron;Fabny Sally Sistrunk (ba 1831),md G.W.Sistrunk (no other record since md); Christina Jane Sistrunk (ba ?,died ?), md Salamon Barron 27Jan1848; and Jacob J.B.Sistrunk (ba 1834),md Margaret AJ Sistrunk 25Dec1855. Daniel died 22Sept1844, leaving small children at home. Christina Jane's sister Eliza E. Sistrunk and her husband, Issac Bell became guardian of Christina Jane and Faby S. shortly after Daniel's death. This information was gathered from Probate and court records from Copiah Co., Miss. Cyrus Barron, since you are a Barron, Christina Jane may be your ancestor, making us distant cousins. Kenneth Fink, your ggrandfather and my gggrandmother were sister and brother, so my friend we are also distant cousins.
I am compiling records on the Miss. Sistrunks with intention of publish a book sometime in the future. I would appreciate it receiving any information that you may have on Christina Jane and Daniel William Sistrunk descendents.
