Hi Cheryl, I see you are still hard at work. Just one item Stephen and Dolly had to have been married before February 10,1766, as this is the date that is on the petition that Dolly and several other wives made to the council of safety pleading to get their husbands free or at least sent closer to home. I would like to find out where Stephen was imprisoned and when he was released from prison. Also, there is a list of Rockingham County, NC Tories, among them our Stephen Sisney on the Rea Crooked Creek site. Does anyone know where this list came from?

If Dolly and Stephen were married about 1765 it would be reasonable to think that they had at least one child before he was captured. It would be good to find out when he was released so that we could know for sure when the other children were born. So far, I have not been able to find out the ages of Mary and Rachael. They could be older than Elizabeth b. 1875, my gggg grandmother.

I am looking at a couple of Grace fellows that could possibly be the husband of Mary.

Yvonne
