Linda,
Tried to email you, but address failed. I hope you get this...
My husband's family is from Raleigh, IL! We now live only a few miles from the original Silas Sisney homeplace, the added to my Milford Sisney, then lived my husband, Alan, lived there.
Alan's dad, Milford, died when Alan was 7 so he doesn't have much on him.
Here's what I have found on this line of the Sisney family so far (and I'm not too far, yet):
1) Temple W. Sisney m. Eliza (?)
Children:
Jechonias (spelling?)
George S.
Delbert
Jacob P. (my husband's line)
Winchester P. (your husband's line?)
Mary J.
Issac (also seen spelled Isaac) N.
2)Jacob P. Sisney m. Emaley A. Crawford 8-10-1871 in
Saline County
(Confusion Here because I also have a Jacob P. Sisney, 1852 - 1908 who was married to Annis Barger (2nd marriage or another Jacob P.?)
3) Silas V. Sisney m. Bessie Starkey
Children:
Milford
Geneva
Mary Annis (died in youth)
4) Milford Sisney m. Wanda Lee Peyton
5) Milford Alan Sisney m. Therese Maxine Cowsert (us)
6) Alisha Sisney (Reed), Ashley Sisney (Smith), Alayna Sisney, & Afton Sisney (our daughters)
Hopefully, you can make a connection to our line. We've found lots of Sisneys, but none to connect directly to our line - and none whatsoever from Raleigh!
