Could your first Elmer (born 1833 in Pennsylvania) be the son of Jonas Sesler? He is only son of Martin Sesler who had sons the right age, moved to Ohio between 1830 and 1840, and for whose children I don't have a complete/good list. Jonas' sons included a Martin who served in the Civil War, William (1823) m. Caroline Chaney, Adam (1827)m. Mary ?, and Jonas (1829)m. Louisa ?. Adam later moved to Fayette County, and Logan County is the next one over.
