Buford (Boots) Sipes was born on Nov.3,1922 in Darwin,Oklahoma.To the parents of Jessie Newton Sipes and Mary Pauline(Martin) Sipes.He passed April 19,2012 in Muskogee,Oklahoma. at the age of 89.Buford joined the United States Army in WW11 serving during the Phillippine Liberation.He obtained the rank of Private First Class.Later,He married Janita McKnight on Oct.3,1946 in Paris,Texas.He retried from El Paso Natural Gas and moved to Antlers,Oklahoma 45 years ago.He love fishing,& watching all types of sports loved Dallas Cowboys, but most of all he love readibg the Bible, and family and friends.Buford was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Edna Hardin, Zora Savage, Opal Morris, Bertha McCarty,Hazel Bishop, brothers, Chester sioes,and Bill Sipes, and son Glenn Sipes.He was surived by his wife, son John Sipes of Antlers,Ok.and daughter Amanda Reed& husband Rex of Grant Falls, North Carolina.4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Buried at Antlers City Cemetery, Antlers,Oklahoma. He was the last one of his family.
