Looking for Sipes Lineage: Indiana-Arizona

I'm a rookie at this Genealogy research and have been quite successful on finding ancestors from my mothers lineage and my spouse's family.

It's so frustrating that I'm unable to find anything on my own surname. So if anyone can help, I would be eternally grateful.

Basically I'm trying to find information on my great grand parents ancestors. My Great grandfather was named William C Sipes, born around 1899 in Missouri and passed on around 1980. (not sure where, my folks say Oklahoma). His parents, according to 1920/30 census were from Indiana. He spent most of his life in Arizona with his spouse Dorothy born in Louisiana (dunno her maiden name) and they had four children, William Jr, Madelyn, Carolyn and my grandfather Donald K Sipes.

William Sipes was a railroad worker for the Southern Pacific railroad as a signalman in Cochise/Yuma Counties. He was addressed as "Claude" from what I remember growing up in Phoenix.

The only clue I've found thus far is from Cochise County school records circa 1910 that states he had a brother named Kenneth and a parent/gaurdian name W. G. Sipes. Again his parents were from Indiana. Any help would be fantastic.
