Julia Coats Sipes death cert
Posted by: Joanne Burkett (ID *****0503) Date: September 22, 2004 at 10:34:21

Thought IÕd share the information from the Kentucky death certificate I recently ordered for my great great grandmother, Julia J. Coats Sipes.
Since Julia and her husband John H. Sipes had eight children: John, Sophia J., Nathaniel (Nat), Sylvia Ann, James, Mary M., Josephine (Josie), and Sophrenia, I know there are lots of other descendents out there who would enjoy this information.
I descend from Sophia Jane, who married Ed Valentine.
Joanne Burkett

The certificate, file no 9459, contains this information:
Millwood, Grayson Co., KY
Julia J. Sipes, female, white, widowed
Widow of John H. Sipes
Birth: 7 April 1842
Age: 88 years, 11 months, 14 days
Occupation: At home
Birthplace: Grayson Co.
Father: David Coats, born in PA.
Mother: Silvia Yeager, born in ?
Informant: Mrs. Josie Evans, Millwood, KY.
Buriel, cremation, or removal at NelsonÕs.
Undertaker: CanÕt make this out, but it looks like Stone and he is in Leitchfield.
The pronouncing doctor was C.L. Sherman of Millwood.
He said she died from measles, but a contributory cause was pneumonia
