I am searching for any information on a family of Pattons that appears on the 1860 census living in Cedar Twp, Marysville post office, Monroe Co., Iowa. The head of household is Percilla Patton, who was born in North Carolina abt. 1804. Also living with her are David Patton- 19 yrs old, Martha Patton- 14 yrs. old, and Isaac Patton- 10 yrs old. All of these individuals were born in Indiana. And finally there is a Lawson Sipes, 24 yrs. old, born in Indiana, who is also living with them. He was most likely born in Harrison County, Indiana. On the 1870 census, this same woman is listed as Priscilla Patton, living with Lawson Sipes and his wife, Sarah in Benton Twp., Corydon Post office, Wayne Co., Iowa. Priscilla died in 1873 and is buried in a cemetery in Corydon. Help with any of these individuals would be very much appreciated!
