This may not get to you as I only just found your posting. the family names of Patrick and your own Kevin have been very popular in our family since the 1800's and the spelling is very similar always either Sinnott or in more recent times Synnott. So on the of chance you may have some family connection my ggggrt grand fathers uncle Moses Sinnott sent for him and any members of his family to join him in Bathurst Australia in 1859 where he had a farm. He had emigrated out to Bathurst in 1840 with his wife Ellen and baby daughter Bridget. My ggggrt grand father was Thomas Doran Sinnott and his sisters Bridget and Elizabeth travelled out with him in 1859 from Clonee Ferns Wexford. Thomas's parents were George and Bridget Doran.
If this rings any bells I would be thrilled as I have had my info on the site since 2004 without much response. I would be very interested in your early family tree stuff about the Sinnotts/Synnotts because maybe I should also work forwards instead of backwards as you suggested.
Hoping to hear from you,
Sue
