Your great grandfather Alexander (from Aberdeen) was my uncle Alec who lived in Red Lake in the late 1940's and early 1950's. My brother and I stayed with Uncle Alec and Auntie Aggie when our baby sister was born in August, 1950, and my dad went to visit mom and new baby in the hospital. Your great grandfather cut my hair into a pageboy and my mother never quite forgave him!
So your great great grandfather WJ was my grandfather. His name was Bill and he married Mary Rennie, of Aberdeen. When the family was quite young, they emigrated to Canada. My father Jack, the baby of the family, was born in Cobalt, Ontario. The children were: Billy, Johnina (died in infancy), Alec, Jessie, Molly and Jack. I believe my grandfather's middle name was James. Certainly HIS father's name (my great grandfather) was William James Sinkins.
Cheers,
Devon Coles (nee Sinkins) in Victoria, BC.
