This follow up is to correct my mis-information on the Sink family of the Revolutionary War period.
Stephen Sink was born on September 17, 1759 in Pennsylvania. He married Susan Plybon who was born in 1752 in the Royal Colony of Pennsylvania. They had 7 to 9 children; Henry, Elizabeth, David, Frony or Fanny, Daniel, Mary (Polley), Susannah (Susan), Peter, and Sarah. The latter two we are not certain of.
Stephen served in the 4th Co. 2nd Battalion in Chester Co. Militia, Pennsylvania during the Revolutionary War.His father Michael may have served, but there is no record of it.
Both Stephen and Susan died in Franklin Co, VA, and were buried on the Sink family farm, which still exists but under another owner. My father took pictures of the burial stone that was erected by their grandsons Jonothan and Stephen on September 20, 1959.The death dates are given as 1835 and 1843 respectively.Stephen died on September 11th while his wife died on December 30th.
This information can be found from the Raney Collection, Vol. 94.
I am a descendent of their son David Sink by his 3rd wife Wealthy Hartwell. His first wife was Asenath Arthur, and the second was Delilah Dillon.
