Frederick Sink PA-OH-IN
I have been reviewing this forum for months and have yet to see a Frederick Sink mentioned - my line in the Sink chain. He was b. 1803 PA married Rachel Lyons b. Mar 1831 PA. They had Daniel L., Henry M., Ann M., Eve M., while still in PA. They had Elijah S. and Amanda after moving to Tuscarawas Co., OH. Rachel died Oct 1846 in Tuscarawas, OH. He married Julianna Hochstetler b. 1830 OH in Apr 1847 they had at least 15 children with 6 of them born in Tuscarawas Co., OH, the remainder in Clay Co., IN. Frederick died in Clay Co., IN Mar 1881, Julianna died there in Jul 1879 buried in Clay Co. Sink Cemetery. Does any one have any idea where Frederick or Rachel came from in PA and who there ancestry line is attached to?
For the record my line is through Elijah S. - he died of wounds received at Battle for Vicksburg in '63, but not until Jan 1870. It is interesting to note that John Sink (married to Eve (?)) b. 1762 in PA, died and was buried in the Sink Cemetery in Franklin Township located in Tuscarawas County Sep 1847 at age 73 (this cemetery holds many Frederick family children). John’s wife Eve b. Jul 1781 in PA, she died and was buried in the Shanesville First Reformed Cemetery of Sugar Creek Twp also in Tuscarawas Co. on 18 Apr 1867 at age 85. The suspicion as I write this is that John (known as John Junior even though he was the elder) may have been the father of Frederick, Henry w-wife Elizabeth, and Abraham w-wife Sophia Ann Shoup and definitely is the father of John (Senior)w-wife Sarah, all of whom resided and farmed in Tuscarawas Co. OH. Benjamin was there also, he married Rosanna Sink. They were together between early 1830s through to 1859 (at least 1859 for Frederick - that is when he moved to Clay Co. IN).
Could this be the missing John from the Michael Zinck line that I see frequently mentioned .
