Mary Beulah Sink, b 1890 VA
I am seeking information concerning the ancestors of my late paternal grandmother; Mary Beulah Sink, born Franklin County, VA on October 20, 1890 and died March 10, 1970 in Dayton, Ohio.Granny, as I and my cousins called her, was a daughter of W. R. Sink (the "W", I believe, stands for William)and Jathin Sink.Granny's father, after her mother died, brought Granny over the mountains to West Virginia in a covered wagon (something Granny took a great deal of pleasure in telling her grandchildren about). She had a twin sister named Lizzie who died fairly young, we think before the migration to West Virginia.Granny had another sister, Mattie and a brother, Brady.Granny was the youngest of William's children.Granny's father died at St. Albans, West Virginia at the age of 75.He was hard of hearing and was killed by a train because he could not hear it coming.
I have been able to find no information on Jathin Sink's or William R. Sink's ancestors.I am hoping those of you in Franklin County might be able to shed some light.I have pretty extensive on the ancestry of Granny's husband, Henry Cardwell Dick, and will be pleased to share with anyone who is interested.
Thank you kindly.
