Here's yet another person by that name! A.J. Sinks born c.1810, I'm guessing in Ohio. The 1840 census gives his initials as A.J., and I have a marriage record that gives his name as Jackson. I haven't seen any record of the Andrew part, but that looks very likely. He died quite young, around 1845, in Vermillion County, Indiana. He married Rebecca Smith in Vermillion County, and she died around the same time. They left two orphan daughters, Celia and Nancy. Celia (Anne or Annie) is my great-great-grandmother. She married James Calvin Brown in Vermilion County, Illinois.
I don't yet know their ancestors. However, it seems likely to me that there is a connection between families using the same names repeatedly.
