Hi Wilbur,

The spelling your found is an interesting spelling. I don't know what part of Germany his parents came from. His parents names were Henry and Cecelia and they lived in Watertown, MN which is in southern Minnesota and they owned a restaurant in the early 1900s. Later they opened a resort near Grand Rapids, MN called "Singley's Cabins." Kenneth and LaVerne were his sister and brother. He had two others siblings but the names escape me now. My stepfather's full name was Wilburt Howard Singley and was born in 1903, died in 1985.

One of the reasons I'm interested in connecting with his family is because I've inherited all the old portraits of his parents and grandparents and I'd love to see the family have them. Some of the portraits and picture frames are from the 1800s and were taken in Germany. I have quite a few of Wilburt's WWII photos as well.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Linda
