John L. Singley
Posted by: Stephen Singley (ID *****2315) Date: September 03, 2005 at 03:39:31

I found on the internet through a Google image search that a John L. Singley is buried at the Camp Chase civil war cemetery in Columbus, OH. With Columbus being only 3 hours from here, I wondered if he may be a relative of mine. My living Singley relatives that I know of are:

Eric (younger brother)
Wilbur J. (Uncle, PA area)
David and Mollie (cousins)

From what I've read John L. Singley was elisted with 3rd Georgia Regiment of the Confederate State's Army and was buried in the Camp Chase cemetery. The odd part is that the headstone is dated 2005... very confusing. Below is a link to the image in question:

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
