Greetings Bertha!!
I see quite a few similiarities in surnames-
Maybe we can make a connection!!
I am trying to follow the Singleton line and
have-
1880 Arkansas Census, Pope County/Moreland
Township the following-
John A. Singleton/36 years/born in TN
his father born VA/ mother (illegible)
married to Mary Elizabeth Brashear/31 years/
her father born TN/mother ARK/
Their children-
Alice
Henry Stanton(my g-grandfather)
William N.
Etty B.
Clift V.
I have also found cemetary records that show
a John A. Singleton buried at Suggs Cemetary,
Hiway #105, north of Atkins, which is located
near the Moreland Township. These records show that John A. was born 3/25/1844, and died 5/30/1886.The date of birth corresponds with the census info above, and
leads me to believe that this may be my
g-g-grandfather.
Other names in this cemetary are-
Chester Singleton, son of WM & MM
Delta Singleton, daughter of EV & NT
WM Singleton 9/21/1850 - 5/3/1894
Zela Singleton, daughter of WM & MM
Elijah Kinder 2/1819 - 1/20/1876
Susan Kinder 9/3/1822 - 2/21 1882
Could your Emily be sister to John A.????
Feel free to email me at [email protected]
if you or anyone else can help me out-
Sincerely
