I have Sam Singleton born 1858 who was from Waynesburg, Lincoln co Kentucky and father's name Rice mother's name Judy -He was Married to Minnie and had at least 11 children. If it is same Sam and I am pretty sure it is- He and his family lived in Hocking and Troy towns, Monroe County Iowa from 1900 until abt 1930 These were mining areas so I think Sam might have worked as a Coal Miner - Eventually some of the Singletons moved to Des Moines. Some I have more info for you.
