There is a good chance that your David is the same as David R. Williams, Jr., son of David R. Williams and Stacey Ann Singleton. He is in about the right place and is the right age and no one else shows up in the census as a candidate.
I surely would like to get the parentage of Stacey Ann Singleton. She died in 1882 in Harris County , Georgia. David R. Williams was born in NC in 1810, possibly in Jones County. I have some clues to his parentage, but not enough to do anything but create confusion at this point.
