Gail:
This is our line!Yeh!We found a link.
Here's what I have of our line.Franklin Singleton was born, we think, in South Carolina.William James Andrew Singleton (unsure of this exact name) was born approx. 1823 in either North or South Carolina and died at the Battle of blue Ridge on the Confederate side.He was married to Sarah Wright who was born around 1827 in South Carolina. She died 1900 or 1893 in Oklahoma. Her second husband was Sloman Winn who died around 1900.Sarah's parents were French Hugenots.
James and Sarah and a child Andrew Sylvester Singleton who was born 4/4/1852 in South Carolina. He died on 4/5/1905 in Texas.Evidently they moved to Texas around 1870.He had a sister Rosie Watson who died in Wylie, TX (Collin County).Andrew married Cora Elizabeth Farrar, and they had a son James Con Singleton, Sr. born 2/25/1883 in St. Joe, Texas. He married in 19056 to Emma Adeline Robbins.Con died on 4/22/1971 in Houston, TX.
Con's other brothers and sisters were Wilie John Singleton born Dec. 1885, Henry Buell Singleton born March 1, 1888, Mazey Singleton born June 1891, Ollie Balck Singleton born May 1894, Lola Perry Singlet born Sept. 1898, Andrew Paul Singleton, and Ruth Farrar Singleton.
Con also had a son named Con Singleton, Jr., and Con Jr, had a son named Con III.My finance and 1st husband (long story) is Con III's brother, Mike.
How does your line fit into this and can you furnish any more information?I have some information from the census on the Singletons in Jack County, but I left it at home.I'll bring it tomorrow and give you more information. This is just the rough sketch of info I have with me.
