In the 7/21/08 issue of the Longview (TX) News-Journal, in an article on Camp County, TX, the following appeared in the CAMP COURTHOUSE TIMELINE: August 1874: W. K. Heath and J. M. Singletary are charged with making arrangements for a courthouse. Initiall, the plan was to rent space in existing buildings.
Obviously, Mr. Singletary was a person of importance in Camp County.
