Singletary Family Genealogy Forum

Thank you Steve, for the information. I went to the address you gave. I couldn't find any Owen. Three Josephs came up and they were in Georgia units, but the first one interested me. For alternate names it shows J. Singletary, which is the way he liked to identify himself. Maybe I didn't find the one you mentioned because Singletary is often misspelled.
I have checked the Census of surrounding counties, but found nothing. I looked at a microfilm of Texas marriages and they were not there. I don't belong to Ancestry, so I guess I would have to go in person to find those marriage records. Your suggestions are appreciated.
Yes, I am the person you remember working with Yvonne Brunton. I gathered a few records for her from Texas, but she knocked herself out trying to help me with my "J" and I have stacks of letters. Her handwriting was a puzzle some times, but I thought she was really an accomplished person. I have both of her books. Thank you, again.
