Leonard,I find this info about Ithamar, Sr. being wounded as he was retreating from the enemy 6/6/1781 a bit of a puzzle.Ithamar, Sr who married Carolina FitzRandolph supposibly died in 1773, two years before the start of the rev. war, 12 Nov 1773 date of his will which does list his wife Carolina & his children. I was actually looking for the war record of his son Ithamar, Jr. who 1st married Ann Washburn & 2nd to Ann Bryan.
I have the Singletary book. I believe the reference to Ithamar serving for his uncle Benjamin FitzRandolph to be Ithamar, JR.
Thanks for your response.Do you fit in the Singletary family somewhere?
Shirley
