Jerry, I have no idea what you are trying to say, and I doubt that anyone else who read your post understands either. Perhaps you would like the chance to re-read the posts and then try responding again?
As is my understanding, Singh is indeed a last name, typically for Sikhs in or from the Punjab region of India. However it is not exactly a family name - the likelihood of one random Singh being more than distantly-related to another is minimal. Less likely than two Smiths or Hernandezes. I believe it is not simply a name passed from parent to child, but that it is also a titular distinction, one that is typical for members of an entire caste of people.
As I understand it, the name Singh would more appropriately be considered a clan name than a family name.
