Christian Advocate and Journal, Aug.18, 1864. OBITUARY MARGARET SINGER, widow ofREV. ABRAHAM SINGER, died June 15, at the residence of Rev. A.Vanfossen, in Petersburgh, Pa., aged 73. She was early the subject of the enlightening spirit, but not till she was 19 years old, when her mother died, was she fully awakened to a sense of her lost condition. She joined the Methodist Church in Strasburg, Pa., in 1820 and from that period fully exemplified the power of divine grace to make its subject pure and happy. Her house was ever open to the intinerant. Her health for years had been delicate and for the last few months she was confined to her room and bed; but there, as when in the santuary , God was her light, salvation and joy. As she neared the goal not a cloud arose to obscure her vision of bliss; all was brightness, calmness ,triumph.
