I am looking for the parents of Jacob Singer. Jacob was most likely born between 1738-1750. Jacob "Saenger" was married to Margaretha Bock at the German Reformed Church in Philadelphia on February 11, 1766. They had a son Nicolas, born 2 November, 1768. By 1790 the family of Jacob and Margreta appear to be settled in Dauphin Co.Pennsylvania. The family most likely was Palatine Germans who immigrated through the port of Philadelphia. Possibly moving through Montgomery Co. and into Lancaster Co. The northern part of Lancaster becoming Dauphin Co. before the 1790 census. The following Singer immigrants may be the parents or grandparents of Jacob Singer. I would greatly appreciate anyone having family ties to any of these Singer's contacting me so I can add or delete them from my list of possible ancestors. I am listing their names, date of immigration and the ship they arrived upon: Johannes Singer, 12 Sept. 1734, ship "St. Andrew Galley" Johannes Friedrich Sanger, 20 Sept. 1743 " Lydia" J.Nicklaus Sanger +Sander Sanger 15 Aug. 1750 "Royal Union" Michael Singer, 18 Aug. 1750 "St. Andrew" Christian Singer, 20 Oct. 1752 "Duke of Wirtenburg" Johann Henrich Sanger 3 Nov. 1752 " Queen of Denmark" Herman Singer, 7 Nov. 1754 " John and Elizabeth" I do know that J. Nicklaus Sanger had a son Jacob. But I need dates for father and son. Thanks Ronald Singer, ris@vicon.net
