Marjorie Binnie in Sungapore 1913-1922

Marjorie Binnie was the author of a 1935 novel set in Africa where she had lived from around 1922.
She was apparently born in London in the mid 1890s, possibly a member of a Cope family, and moved to Singapore in 1913 to live with an aunt. While there she was twice married before moving to live in South Africa with her second husband. I have no idea if she may have returned to Singapore later in life.
I have found a couple of mentions of her, one as an old resident of Singapore and her memories of British Government bungalows, and other describing riots after a navy ship arrived in port in 1914.
If anyone can help with information on her, I would be most grateful.
Many thanks
