Hi Melanie,

I have transcribed the inscriptions from the memorial plates at Fort Canning Park, Singapore. The one, related to James S. Clark says:

SACRED
To the Memory of
JAMES SCOTT CLARK, Esquire
son of the late
DAVID CLARK, ESQUIRE
of London
who departed this life
on the 25th December 1851
aged 47 Years
---------------
BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD
Psalm XIV, Verse 10
---------------------
This tablet is erected by a few friends

You can check other surnames at:

Best regards
Michael
