3. REGINALD HORST BERLIN (WERNER HEINRICH RUDOLF AGATHON2, AUGUST FRIEDRICH HEINRICH BERLIN/HERMANN1) was born 19 Aug 1927 in Berlin, Germany, and died 15 May 1952 in Kota Tinggi, Johore, Malaysia. He married KATHLEEN FERNANDO 06 Jul 1950 in Singapore Marriage Registry, daughter of CHARLES FERNANDO and E. She was born 04 Jun 1925 in Singapore ?, and died 12 Feb 2002 in Brighton, England.

Only son (so the story goes) was my father, REGINALD HORST BERLIN, born 19
Aug 1927 (or 1926 or 1928). He died in Malaya (now called Malaysia) killed by the Chinese Communists on May 15, 1952. That was 3 months after I was born in Singapore. My father was in Berlin at time of end of World War 2. The French coerced these German boys to fight with them against the Chinese Communists in Indochina. Hence the reason my father was in Asia.

from the belongings found after my grandmother Appolonia died. Writeup for the courts., She had the death certificates of Werner, Caroline, August in her belongings. We are inferring that August and Caroline are Warner's parents. Have a notice that Appolonia Berlin sent out about the death of Hermann Berlin in Jan 1944 but dont know who is he. Is August Friedrich H Berlin my great grandfather or Hermann Berlin????

My mother Kathleen Fernando mentioned that Warner was a businessman. His father was possible a judge in Berlin.
There could be Jewish connections because we are confused about having surname Berlin and lived in Berlin.
Notes for APPOLONIA SZUMSKI:
She died of heart failure on 20 Jan 1969 in Bad Neuheim, Ludwigstrasse,
Germany. She was Catholic, we think. She lived her later years in Ober Rosbach near Frankfurt.
