Charles - My gggggrandfather was John William Sine who arrived on the NEPTUNE in 1751. He was in Loudoun Co., VA in 1772 and died in Shenandoah Co., VA in 1801. I did not have a clue where he was from 1751 until 1772 until thanks to Dale Sines I found him in Hunterdon Co., New Jersey. Four of his children (9 in all) were baptized in The German Reformed Church in Alexandria, Hunterdon Co. I was at the library on Tuesday and spent some time reading about the redemptionists and began to think, quite possibly, that's where John William spent 21 years working off his passage. Do you have a source for my theory as you refer to him as a redemptionist? I, also, believe that he was from the same part of the palatinate as the Sines who were in New York and New Jersey. Did he bring with him a wife and 5 children who were baptized elsewhere? Hope to hear from you. Pat Snyder
