Dale,
I recognize that my posting is about two years after yours but if it is still applicable,I'll add a few comments. You said that you were in contact with descendants of three of the children of Johannes Wilhelm Seyn, so I am either going to duplicate one of the three, or possibly add a fourth. My ancestry goes from Johannes Wilhelm Seyn to his son Adam Sign, then to his daughter Elizabeth Sions (the spelling seems quite variable from one generation to the next) who married Elijah Ellifritz in Hardy Co., VA (now WV); and on down a few more generations to where I am. Your website that you mention in your posting doesn't seem to be accessible from the address you provided but that may be a result of my being a couple of years late with my posting. If you are still operating this website you might give me a current address.
From other reports and data on this genforum I get the story that Johannes Wilhelm Seyn came to the US on the Neptune in about 1751, emigrated to NJ. If he was attending the Dutch Reformed Church in NJ, does this mean that he was Dutch -- or is it equally likely he was German? Do you have any clues as to the name of his wife?
Thanks for your help.
