Robert, I have not found anything else on Mary Jackson, but I believe this Richard Sims is my great, great grandfather. He married Rebecca Anderson in Greene County AL in 1824. They and their children appear in the 1830 census for that county.

They are next found in Sabine, Texas in the 1835 Mexican census. By 1850 Richard was no longer in the picture, but Rebecca and the children were in San Augustine County, TX.

In 1860 Rebecca and some of the children were in Cherino, Nacogdoches County, TX. They may have moved that year, because they also appear to be listed in the 1860 census for Crockett, Houston County, TX.

In 1870 Rebecca and some of the children were in Henderson, County, TX.

I am descended from Richard and Rebecca's son James, b. Jan. 13, 1833 in Greene County, AL. My grandfather was Richard O. Sims, b. Jan. 12, 1887, Henderson County, TX. He seems to have been named after his uncle, Richard O. Sims.

My father was Richard C. Sims, b. July 16, 1919, Henderson County, Tx.

Hope this was helpful,
Richard C. Sims, Jr.
