You might want to try Johnson Co. and Wake co., NC records.I am not related, but am looking for wives of Blalocks who were in northern Wake Co. in the mid and late 1700's (it was Johnson Co. at the time.) The Blalocks were there from the 1750's through the 1780's after moving from Hanover/Louisa Cos., VA. There were many Sims there also and they interacted with the Blalocks as well as the Abbots. Both the Abbots and the Sims families were in Hanover/Louisa Cos. VA also. The area they were in is currently under water by the Neuse River Res. and is around the area where Hwy. 98 crosses Hwy.50 on the road from Creedmoor in southern Granville Co. to Raleigh. One of the Abbots married a Sims likely as there was later a Sims Abbott. Several of these Blalocks moved in the late 1700's and early 1800's to Cumberland Co. My husband's Blalock family moved north to southern Person Co. (Orange and Caswell at the time)near the Granville border only a few miles from where they were in northern Wake Co.
