The following information came from Rev. E. T. Sims of Winston Salem, NC to my father, Capt. W. R. Brown, Chaplain in 1944.

Col. Joseph Stark Sims of Union Co.

Two of his sons: (1) Dr. William Henry Sims, MD in Union Co., SC d. 1893. His wife was Mary Barnett Sims d. 1898.
Her father was Rev. Micajah Barnett, a Baptist preacher.
(2) Dr. Charles Sims of Cowpens. These men had a cousin,
C. P. Sims, a lawyer in Spartanburg, SC.

Rev. E. T. Sims was a pastor in Winston Salem; he was born c. 1886 according to his letter. His son, Robert Sims, was apparently a soldier located a Bryan Field, Texas, where my father was a chaplain during WWII.
