I need proof that Nancy Jane Symmes (Sims,Simms)born 1824 in Indiana is the daughter of Langhorn Symmes and Catherine Alford. A birth record from a family Bible would be great but will settle for obituaries of family members mentioning her as a daughter or sibling of her brothers and sisters, articles of visitation to the parents from news paper, etc. Nancy was first married to Samuel Hardesty in Montgomery Co. Indiana and later to George A. Jones in Douglas Co. Illinois. I think she died in Douglas Co. between 1889 and 1893. Any help in this quest would be greatly appreciated.
