Hi Anita, My Mother's maiden name is Sims and I am researching the family tree.I saw the transcript of Uncle Nick Sims and hope we might have a connection somewhere in Virginia.
The earliest Sims I have is John, b.BEF 1745.Married Ann Griffin, b. BEF 1745.I have that Ann and John moved from Cullpepper Co. Virginia to Laurens Co., SC Sometimes after 1770.I show them having 10 children and the first 3 were born in Virginia.
1. Anna Melvina Sims b. ABT 1763
2. John Simsb. BEF 1784
3. Thomas Simsb. BEF 1770/75Thomas Is my GGGGr.fa.
4. Thaddeus Simsb. 1774/84
5. Amy Sims
6. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sims
7. Mary Sims
8. Rachel Sims
9. Sarah Sims
10. William Sims
I would greatly appreciate any info you might have on this branch of Sims', or advice as to how to proced from here.
