Thanks, Rex, I have the " Simpkins Ancestors In Pioneer Days, 1729 - 1980" written by Larura Simpkins Groves. I have researched some of the info she has in her papers. Some I have not been able to confer. My Robert Simpkins, was in KY., in the early 1830s, he had land grants in Morgan Co. In 1832/33, he married Elizabeth Morrison, in Morgan Co. He married second 1846, in Morgan Co, KY. I do feel he was married before he came into KY. The 1832/33 marriage was most likely a 2nd or 3rd marriage for him. In 1840s a Lawrence Simpkins, married Sarah ( Sally) Lawson, Morgan Co. Lawrence & Sally Simpkins, are living next door to Robert's brother n law in 1850, Bath Co, KY. Robert Simpkins, died sometime in the 1850s, in Morgan or Montgomery Co, KY. I feel he died in KY., as he went to court, and named Fletcher T. Lawson, as his P.O.A. And in 1860, his wife is living with her mother, the children are living in different households. I have the file on the marriages and land dates for Robert and Lawrence Simpkins, in KY, but don't want to open it now. My cousin lived in VA., and has my file on our Robert Simpkins, and is doing some research. Tina Notify Administrator about this message?
