Henry Bishop is listed on the 1787 tax list for Montgomery Cty, Va. as is a William Lawson & James & Robert Simpkins. Henry Bishop & his father, John, are listed on Capt. Daniel Trigg's Co. of Mtg. Cty,Va. in 1777 as is Wm.Lawson, but no Simpkins listed. There are a Wm. & James Simpson listed on the 1831 Floyd Cty,Va. tax list along with the Bishops. The only other reference to Daniel Simpkins is at the Battle of Point Pleasant - John Murrary's Co. of Volunteers,Botetourt Cty,Va. has a Daniel & James Simpkins (1774). The Bishops resided on Little River in Mtg. Cty - later Floyd Cty,Va.
I know from the marriage bond for Henry Bishop & Fanny Simpkins that Daniel is listed as her father, this was in 1785.
