Hello. I accidently came across this website and was very excited. I live in California and have never met another Simonton outside my immediate family. We are originally from Louisiana (Grambling, Rustin area) Most of the family is still there. I don't know anything about how they came to be there or the history. My grandfather, Luther Simonton, was born approximately 1905 and had a brother named Howard. He married a Mary Williams. His father's name was George. My father and I would be thrilled to receive any information.
