heritage of my real grandfather (Will Simonton)

I need any help that can be given to find my real grandfather. My father's name is Billy Howard Simonton born in Phoenix City, Alabama on August 1927. All we know is that his dad's name was Will Simonton and was married to Sara Lee Hazel Howard. My dad's parents separated right after my dad was born and he never got to know his real father. My dad is also the only child of that marriage. However, I do know that he has a step sister that owned a huge antique store somewhere around Locke, Texas. I have not been able to find a city in Texas by the name of Locke so again I have come to a stumbling block. We were told that my real grandfather went to Texas A&M but don't know for sure.
If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want my dad to die without knowing who his real father was.
Thanks
Debra Allen (Simonton)
