Lost family history

I do not know if anyone can help me find out about my family history, because it is a very confusing and is very strange. First off, my paternal grandfather's father was born in 1899 and fought in the Great War. During the war he became shell-shocked and sometime after he was sent to an insane asylum and he died in 1963. His name was Louis Simonton and he is buried in Posey, Illinois in Clinton County. I know his brothers names were Clyde 1880-1965 and Nicholas 8 Feb. 1886 - 22 Sept. 1948. The three brothers are buried with who I can assume were their other brother Winfield 5 Aug. 1878 - 8 Jun. 1946, and their mother whose name was Mary and was born in 1860 and died in 1935. The father is also buried there but the only problem is that all I about him is that his initials are W.T. Simonton and he was born in 1857 and died in 1920. I've looked everywhere but I cannot find any input about the family. I am going to look at court house, but I am in college right now and I am two hours from it. I would really appreciate if anybody had any infomation about a Simonton or Simontons that moved to Clinton County or even Illinois. Thank you for any help you can give. I won't give up my search either.
