Judi,
Their was a Militia Captain, William Simonton, in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, during the Revolutionary War.He had a son captured by English allied Indians at the same time as they massacred the family of Matthew Dean.The relationship indicated that they may have been in-laws.Does this William fit with yours in any way?
