Elizabeth Lawrence was b. abt. 1822 in Alabama. I am seeking help with her parents. Some researchers list her parents as James Lawrence and Cynthia Franks, but they are in an 1850 Alabama census with a much younger Elizabeth. The Elizabeth Lawrence I seek was in the 1850 census in White River, Izard Co., Arkansas, married to James M. Sneed with several children: James, Malinda J, Moses or Hosea, Sarah, Martha, Henry, and William Riley Simons, my ancestor.
Later children of James and Elizabeth: Owen Thomas, Azariah R., John R., and a female "N.L." Sneed.
1850 Census - White River, Izard Co., Ark
1860 Census - Twp. 6 Rg. 5E, Hamilton Co., Ill
1870 Census - Spring Creek, Dent Co., Missouri
1880 Census - Cass, Texas Co., Missouri
1900 Census - ?
1910 Census - Bryan, Coal Co., Okla
Some list Elizabeth's death in 1875, but I found her on later census schedules. Need help locating her in 1900 census, prob. living with one of her children. Possible year of death: 1915 in Oklahoma.
Elizabeth is the mother of William Riley Simons (1845-1908) and the ancestor I research. Can help with some Simons info., need help with his mother and father. Thanks!
