Hi,
My name is Pat and am looking for my great grandmother.
Her names is Anna/Amanda Middagh b.- abt 1866 d.- abt 1891. I found her in the 1880 census living with Joseph and Margaret Simons, Lower MT Bethel Pa.
It states that she is an adopted daughter. I am trying to find out who her parents were.
Amanda (re:1890 census for Lower MT Bethel)married William J Herman and they had four children.
I thought that maybe Margaret was her mother and remarried, but alas, that's not so.
I've come up blank. I even went to Easton,PA (by the way great records) but I only found her in the 1880 and 1890 census, and a bapt.record for their son Charles in 1885.
