Hello. I have only recently began my Simons research and find your post of great interest. In his book, Catholicity Of Sunfish, Edmonson Co. Ky, James Simons says that Phillip and Peter were brothers to John Simons Sr and probably Edward Simons Sr.

This is a very interesting genealogy of the Simons family of Ky. He traces The Simons who had some link to the catholic families of Sunfish, but trys to show possible connections of the Simons to an immigrant and other Simons of Maryland, SC, VA and Penn as well as IOwa, Ill and ohio, etc. He has also traced many allied families.

To make this long story short, I descend from Edward Simons Sr. and possibly from John Simons Sr. I would be so happy to learn about your research and to share mine. Needless to say, I have lots of holes and questionable areas that I would like to get straight.

Rita
