I am searching for more information about Margaret Sophronia Simons who married James Lewis McDowell in 1852 in Carroll County, TN. In 1870 I found a John L McDowell and Sofronie McDowell living in Carroll County, TN. I believe they are the same family, but I am not certain. James Lewis McDowell died in 1873 and I do find this Sofronie on the 1880 census as a widow with some of the same children. Would anyone know Margaret Sophronia's parents? Would anyone have a death date for her? Would anyone know more about her children?
