My ggrandmother was suoppse to have been born from the Cherokees and got addopted by a family names (Simons) and her mothers maiden name was (Sinder) and they lived in (Licking Texas Co. Missouri). I have been trying so hard to find out if this is trur or not, and there was a lot of (Simons) and (Sniders)that where Cherokee.My ggrandmothers name was (Rose Addie) and her mothers name was( Pheobe )maiden name( Snider ).My ggrandmother was born 9/9/1881 and passed away in 1967 in (Salem Missouri).One of her daughters name was (Margie McElfresh Liske).I a, trying to find out if (Rose) actually did get addopted by the Simons family and if she was full blooded (Cherokee) which I think she was,That is what my grandmother always told me that her mother was Cherokee Indian and she knew how to do some medican man things. I was so small I do not remember what all she did say she could do.But I do know she had one heck of a temper and I thought at a small age I thought she was mean .
