i have a Benjamin Symonds that was buried 12/10/1783 in woburn, mass. as you know Symonds later became Simonds. my Symonds goes back to 1676 to William Simonds. our first ancestor was a French Huguenot family from the province of Normandy who emigrated to England to enjoy religious freedom.generations later one William Simonds came to America.
other names that go along with the family are: Webster, Wood, Lawrence, Hill, Fowls, Hocking, Ramsay, Helmstetler,& Gracey.i have some dates on Simonds
